Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Hassan is a distinguished Medical Doctor at the University of Ghana Hospital, specializing in preventive healthcare, chronic disease management, and healthcare accessibility for underserved populations. With over five years of clinical experience, Dr. Al-Hassan has developed a profound expertise in palliative care and community-based nutritional interventions, particularly for vulnerable infants and children in resource-constrained settings.
As the Executive Director of The Aiders Hub Foundation, Dr. Al-Hassan has demonstrated exceptional strategic leadership in mobilizing resources to provide life-saving interventions for patients facing catastrophic medical costs. His work frequently intersects with pediatric care and neonatal support, where he has pioneered programs and fostered collaboration to ensure that vulnerable children receive the critical nutritional foundations necessary for survival and long-term health. His commitment to palliative care is rooted in a patient-centered philosophy that prioritizes dignity, comfort, and holistic support for families navigating complex medical journeys.
Dr. Al-Hassan earned his medical degree from the University of Ghana and is currently an Internal Medicine Resident-in-waiting, having successfully cleared the Primary membership examinations of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. A globally recognized advocate for health equity, he recently represented Ghana at the World Islamic Health Union Congress in Manila where made a presentation on “Lifestyle Interventions to Delay Aging: The Internist Toolkit.”
