At Mother’s Roots Initiative, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us. Our mission is to improve maternal and child health outcomes in underserved communities. Consequently, we apply diligent financial principles and responsibly manage funds towards maximizing impact for mothers, infants, and families.
Financial Accountability
Mother’s Roots Initiative maintains strong financial management practices to ensure that all funds are used responsibly and in alignment with our mission. Our financial oversight includes:

The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health and ensuring that funds are used in accordance with donor intent and the organization’s mission.

Funds received by Mother’s Roots Initiative are used to support:

Our goal is to direct majority of resources received toward program activities that directly benefit mothers and children.
Donations
All donations made to Mother’s Roots Initiative are used to advance our mission. Unless otherwise specified by the donor, contributions may be allocated to areas of greatest need to ensure that programs remain effective and sustainable.
Donor information is kept confidential and is never sold, traded, or shared with third parties.
Financial Reporting
Mother’s Roots Initiative prepares financial reports that are reviewed by the Board of Directors. As the organization grows, we will continue to strengthen our financial reporting practices to meet nonprofit best practices.
Where applicable, required filings and financial documents will be made available to the public in accordance with nonprofit transparency standards.
Conflict of Interest Policy
Mother’s Roots Initiative maintains a conflict-of-interest policy to ensure that decisions made by board members and leadership are always in the best interest of the organization and the communities we serve.
